FLESH. In 2018 , the “field”, which is common to the names of the founders of this space, Takada and Yoshida, was sandwiched between FLESH (meat). FLESH is pronounced as fresh, but it can also be heard as a meaning of fresh when it is written in katakana. “Ten” is a symbol of affluence in Japan, and the rice harvested there is truly flesh and blood for the Japanese people. Gaienmae in Tokyo, where FL Den and SH were based, does not have a “field”, but the art itself is probably the “field” in this city. And as a place to grow our flesh and blood, the art space FL Field SH was born. Although it is a small space, it has not only held exhibitions based on the theme of “same streetness”, but has also produced and sold zines and other art goods, as well as performances and live performances. In 2020 , due to the demolition of the building in which I lived, I added the theme of “Drifting in the City” after the place disappeared, and I am working as an art space that is not fixed in place.
